IMMORTAL COLLECTION

Francisco Cerón is also a versatile sculptor who transforms his works from paper and canvas into three-dimensional pieces. He takes his paintings of multicolored gardens and creates a metal representation of a rose garden contained within a bouquet. In this way, he presents us with a sculpture that symbolizes nature and beauty in a subtle, urban, symbolic, and immortal manner.

THE ETERNAL ROSE

The rose is nearly an emblem of the Western world, a symbol of beauty, love, and happiness. It represents women, the feminine divinity, Venus, and Aphrodite. In English, French, and German, it’s written as “rose,” and Rose is an anagram of Eros, the Greek god of love.

The rose was honored by gods and heroes. It adorned Achilles’ shield, Hector’s helmet, and Aeneas’s as well as the swords of valiant knights from the Middle Ages.

In Christian iconography, the rose is the cup that collects the blood of Christ and also represents the Virgin Mary. Great artists have left their mark in their works, including Botticelli, Diego Rivera, and others.

THE SPIRAL OF LIFE

Each flower is designed in a spiral, the oldest symbol of humanity. The spiral has been used to represent the sun, birth and death, infinity, expansion, continuous movement, eternal life, stars, galaxies, and evolution.

The blend of stainless steel in its natural state with colored pieces creates a sculpture with an industrial appearance, allowing us to see the nobility and strength of metal alongside the delicacy of its representation—a bouquet of immortal roses—a perfect fusion of nature and urbanity.
